Children’s Ministry Coordinator

Position Description
The Children’s Ministry coordinator oversees the infant, preschool and elementary school programs for our children’s ministry. The Children’s Ministry Coordinator reports to the Children’s Ministry Director and is responsible for supporting all efforts within the ministry.

HAND: Responsibilities & Duties

Support creation and development of the WEAR curriculum model
-
Assist with creating an engaging and immersive experience for Sunday services

Provide support to families served

Coordinate Children’s Ministry events such as Summerfest, Vacation Bible School and Fall Fest
-
Track and maintain data such as attendance records, roll sheets, background checks for volunteers, etc.

Implement recurring recruitment strategies for volunteers
-
Work closely with the family ministry team to execute quarterly and yearly goals
-
Stay current on industry trends, competitor strategies, overall marketing communications, and best practices to recommend and execute new and effective marketing communications

Attend and participate in church wide events such as Convention, Atmosphere Conference, DASH Conference, etc.

All other duties as assigned
HEAD: Knowledge & Training
-
At least 2 years of children’s ministry experience

Ability to innovate, build and add onto children’s ministry trends
-
Willing to pursue continuous learning opportunities and to stay current with church culture
-
Strong leadership skills and ability to strategize, organize volunteers, and managing multiple tasks/projects in a time-sensitive manner
-
Must Have Proficient Skills in communication, leadership, organization and children’s ministry.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and good time management skills

Self starter and ability to work under pressure including troubleshooting and problem solving skills
-
Ability to meet deadlines and goals while managing multiple tasks
-
Proficient computer skills with Apple, Microsoft and Google products
