Position Description
The Children’s Ministry Director provides direction and oversight for the entire Children’s Ministry for our Boston and Stoughton campuses. The Children’s Ministry Director reports to the Senior Pastors and is responsible for pastoring children and their families through the implementation of a ministry strategy.

HAND: Responsibilities & Duties

Communicate a clear and compelling vision for the ministry that aligns with the overall vision of Jubilee Christian Church

Oversee the development of ministry goals and objectives
-
Oversee all aspects of children’s ministry administration which include budget forecasting, security, equipment and supply inventory, distributions of curriculum materials and other educational resources.

Oversee the implementation of volunteer onboarding, family engagement, student transition etc.

Oversee and develop the children’s ministry assimilation plan, volunteer training, staff and intern development

Oversee and develop special programming such as Harvest Fest, Summerfest, Vacation Bible School, etc.

Develop curriculum yearly for Sunday Children’s Ministry services.

Effectively lead, build, develop and evaluate staff, volunteers and interns to meet ministry objectives

Attend and participate in church wide events such as Convention, Atmosphere Conference, DASH Conference, etc.

All other duties as assigned
HEAD: Knowledge & Training
-
At least 2 years of children’s ministry experience
-
Ability to innovate, build and add onto children’s ministry trends
-
Willing to pursue continuous learning opportunities and to stay current with church culture
-
Strong leadership skills and ability to strategize, organize volunteers, and managing multiple tasks/projects in a time-sensitive manner
-
Must Have Proficient Skills in communication, leadership, organization and children’s ministry.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and good time management skills
-
Self starter and ability to work under pressure including troubleshooting and problem solving skills
-
Ability to meet deadlines and goals while managing multiple tasks
-
Proficient computer skills with Apple, Microsoft and Google products
