Bishop,
I am tired of the lack of discipline in every area of my life. I sing but do not have enough discipline to train my voice and do something wonderful with it. I am overweight and will not commit to a program that will enable me loose weight. I have a passion to teach the word of God but will not study it. I start out with so much zeal but loose interest halfway through. I truly am tired. I am 36years old - and this has been a problem ever since i can remember. What will it take? The answer is obvious to me but I have a real problem implementing. I daresay I am desperate.

I recommend reading: “The Seven Secrets Unlocking Genuine Greatness.” By John Hagee. Secret one deals with the mystery and power of your mind, an empire of limited resources and attitudes. Hagee states that you are a king or queen in a kingdom of unlimited power and potential: your mind. Your ability to achieve a life of staggering success or live a life of unspeakable squalor and disappointment depends on one single choice. That single choice is made every hour of every day of your life.

Good afternoon,
With no disrespect, I have a question that I'm hoping you can help me to better understand.
Although I have attended the Foundations classes, I’m finding it a bit confusing to determine my best way to study the Bible. In my process, I am reading a book at time in order. In the messages delivered on Sunday (and other times that I've attended) seem to be "situations" based rather that reviewing a specific Book. It also seems that most Books are saying something similar, but in different ways.
I feel that perhaps I should reconsider my approach.
Am I misunderstanding something? What is the best way to study the Bible?

I recommend the New International Version One Year Bible by Tyndale House. This version helps you read the entire Bible in as little as 15 minutes a day. The One Year Bible divides God’s Word into daily readings from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs, creating an achievable, unforgettable devotional experience.

Dear Bishop, as Christians, do we believe in memorial services for our
deceased loved ones on the anniversary of their death?
SJB from Hyde Park, Massachusetts

Yes, as Christians we do believe in memorial services for our loved ones as a celebration of the person's life. It should be dignified and respectful without being depressing and morbid. There should be room for expressions of joy- even laughter. In many cases, a loved one may reside in one state and was raised in another. The family decides to have the funeral in the state where they were raised and the memorial service in the state where they resided.
Bishop, what are the six steps to victorious living?
KE from Cape Code, Massachusetts

"Here are the six steps you can take to assure victory:
- Faithfully fulfill all of the initial salvation steps that are set forth in the Scriptures – Repentance, Faith and Water Baptism. (Acts 20:21; Mark 16:16)
- Count yourself dead to sin but alive to God in Jesus Christ. Determine not to let sin rule you and dominate your mortal body. Determine not to give yourself and the members of your body as instruments of sin, but yield yourself to God (Romans 6:11-14).
- Set aside a special time and place to daily read the Word, memorize edifying Scripture passages, meditate and pray. (Jeremiah 15:16; Psalm 119:11; 1:2; 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
- Break worldly ties and determine to spend more time with believers (not only on Sundays but during the week). (2 Corinthians 6:17-18)
- Boldly confess to both family and friends that Jesus Christ is now your Lord (Matthew 10:32-33).
- Walk as a little child. (Matthew 18:1-4)
